Description
The KA-BAR knife is a legendary combat/utility knife that is still in use today. The knife has a blade length of 13 cm and an overall length of 22.86 cm. The blade is made of 1095 Cro-Van steel and has a HRC of 56-58. The knife has a USN blade stamp on the tang and a leather handle. The KA-BAR knife is also made in the USA, but is parallel imported.
During WWII a legend was born, as several companies were asked by the U.S. Government to help supply troops with combat/utility knives. KA-BAR stepped up to the challenge and their reputation became so strong that all who are familiar with this knife refer to any of its kind simply as the "KA-BAR". The worlds most famous fixed-blade knife is still doing its job, with honors, almost 70 years later.
